Keep Fire Hydrants Clear from Snow

Snow can make accessing fire hydrants a challenge. While shoveling your sidewalks, please take a few minutes to clear a 3-foot space around any hydrants near your home and ensure a clear path to the street. This small effort can save critical time during an emergency and the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company, Northampton County PA protect your neighborhood.

1️⃣ Remove any snow and ice.
2️⃣ Clear a wide enough perimeter (3 feet all around).
3️⃣ Make a path from the hydrant to the street.
