Why do I need a building permit?
  • It's the Law - State Building Code and Township Ordinances require permits must be obtained for certain types of work.
Why do I need an inspection?
  • Inspections ensure that work is done and completed safely and meets the minimum Building Code requirements.
Where can I get a permit?
  • Application for Zoning and Building Permits are available at the Township Municipal Building 3630 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem PA  18017.
When do I need a Zoning Permit?
  • When ever you plan to build, alter or install accessory structures such as sheds, fences, when creating a new or enlarging parking area, driveways, patios and other such structures not required under the Building Code.

REMINDER! IT IS PROHIBITED TO TOP  A TREE.  TOPPING A TREE SEVERLY DAMAGES THE TREES AND PROHIBITS ITS NATURAL GROWTH WHICH CAN CAUSE A TREE TO PREMATURELY DIE.
