A Zoning Permit is required prior to the erection, construction or alteration of any building, structure or any portion thereof and authorizes the legal use of the property and use occupancy after construction is completed.

Application for permits shall be made in writing to the Zoning Administrator designated by the Board of Supervisors, and shall contain all information necessary for such officer to ascertain whether the proposed erection, construction, alteration or use complies with the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance.

A Building Permit is required if any owner/authorized agent who intends to do contsruction, enlarge, alter repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by the Building Code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.
